French Onion Soupy Joe Sliders

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 lb chuck roast (beef pot roast)

  • 2 large onions

  • 6 tbsp butter

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • 48 oz beef stock

  • 1/3 cup white wine (optional)

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp liquid smoke

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 package of slider buns

  • 8 oz of grated Swiss cheese

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Slice the onions

  2. Sautee the onions on low heat in butter in a large pan for about 40 minutes (until soft and brown)

  3. Remove the onions and set aside

  4. In a pressure cooker or a crock pot, place the remainder of the ingredients

  5. Cover with the onions

  6. If using pressure cooker, cook on high for 45 minutes; if using a crock pot, cook on high for 6 hours

  7. When done, remove the meat to cutting board and shred it with 2 forks

  8. Place the meat into the juices

  9. Serve on slider buns and top with Swiss cheese

  10. Enjoy
