BLATT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato and turkey) Sandwiches
INGREDIENTS:
1 loaf of Sara Lee Artesano bread
1 lb of bacon
4 large leaves of Gotham Greens lettuce
8 slices of Hillshire Farms turkey breast deli meat
1 avocado
1 large beefsteak tomato
Mayonnaise (optional)
Mustard (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Slice the tomatoes thinly
Wash the lettuce leaves and pat dry
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Cut the bacon slices in half and lay them out on a baking rack on top of cookie sheet
Cook bacon in oven for approximately 20 minutes or until brown and crispy
Toast the bread
Take avocado, cut in half, remove the pit; Remove the flesh from the skin and place it into Ziplock baggie and squish it (the kids will have fun doing this)
Transfer mashed avocado into bowl for serving
Place all ingredients onto plates so everyone can assemble own sandwich
