Beef Stroganoff

INGREDIENTS:

•   1/2 cup sliced mushrooms

•   12 oz ground beef or beef substitute

•   12 oz whole grain egg noodles

•   26 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup

•   Garlic salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.     Heat medium sized pan with some oil to medium heat

2.     Slice mushrooms and place in pan (good opportunity for kids to practice chopping if they have the skills!)

3.     Add ground meat to pan and cook until evenly brown

4.     While meat is cooking, boil a pot of water and cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Leave a bit of water in pot when draining and return noodles to pot

5.     Add cream of mushroom soup to pot of noodles and stir until evenly combined (Kids can stir!)

6.     Add meat and mushrooms from pan into the pot, combining evenly (Kids can stir!)

7.     Mix in garlic salt and pepper to taste. Serve with noodles or rice and side salad
